Rewarding Employees Hard Work

We employ many Haitians at Lifeline and we obviously could not do the job without them. They work as teachers, medical staff, gateman, yardmen, construction workers, cooks, and in administrative positions. The pay is not equivalent to that of the US but their commitment to Lifeline and helping the people is great. Many of them have large families that they need to support so in order to show our appreciation for their hard earned efforts we rewarded them this year with a bag of rice and a bag of beans.
Some of the comments that were made in doing this were “This was the best day of our life in Lifeline!” and also “This is our Thanksgiving day!” Many were praising the Lord and were so graciously thankful.
In doing this, food was spread all throughout the village here at La Digue and also Barbancourt. Praise God for the people that donated the food to make this possible and for opening the door for us to help them!
