Lifeline's School Bus

When you barely have any money for food, the last thing on your mind is paying for your child to go to school. In Haiti there are no school buses that drive your children to school for free. The only free option is walking. Other then that you can pay for a tap-tap or a motorcycle. And both options have their problems. In Haiti you may sometimes see five people on one motorcycle! It's very dangerous. If that wasn't bad enough, the roads here are awful. Many people come to us with wounds from a motorcycle accident. Tap-taps are crammed full of people as well. So getting to school is a problem for many children in Haiti.

Lifeline decided to do something about the problem. We now pick up about kids and take them to their schools in our truck. Free and safe! The parents are so grateful we're able to help. They now know that their kids are going to be safe and they also now are able to save their money for other things such as food. Praise God for safety!
